Modesty?

Whilst I'm all for women being confident in their own bodies, the flood of Instagram photos of women posing in various states of undress is appalling.  There's a difference between sexy and tasteful and downright slutty.  Going by the photos, I'm not sure these parties know the difference.

Sources are these women's own Instagram accounts.

Yes, it's good that everyone embraces their size and shape.  Yes, it's good that people stop cruel taunts against fat people.  Yes, it's wonderful that people no longer loathe themselves and, instead, embrace life fully.  I'm all for that.  But is all this exhibitionism necessary? : /

If they're prepared to upload photos of their bits that normal, decent people keep under wraps and only expose to loved ones, why are they complaining about rude comments?  Sure, they can yell that people don't need to look, but hey, it's like, UP THERE IN PUBLIC, hello?  And it's too late for viewers to UNsee everything!

If these women really feel good about their bodies, they wouldn't need to photograph themselves in various states of undress in order to support body/size/fat acceptance.  They could also have posted photos of themselves in the tasteful dresses that retailers now stock to cater to different body types.

I dunno what they're trying to achieve here, but it's in really poor taste.  Whatever happened to modesty and a sense of shame?  It's no wonder these women, who happily expose themselves, regardless of their shape or size, are sexually used by men but don't find the love they want.

Yes, everyone fully understands that these women want themselves represented in the consumer world.  They wanna be embraced as customers and have their sizes catered to.  Fair enough.  Just voice it instead of attention-seeking, exhibitionist behaviour.  It's just as annoying as thin exhibitionist, attention-whores.

Yes, you're beautiful.  All of you are.  But what would make you even more beautiful is to have some modicum of modesty.  We can all be sexy covered up and leaving a little bit more to the imagination.  If you let it all hang out in the cyber-world for all to see, what is there left for the special person in your life?

Do you think men wouldn't wanna feel special, to be able to have access to your body the way other men can't?

Think about it.
