Here's another dish I made for a beer session.
It's Guinness lamb and mushroom stew! Those things that look like fries are actually toasted bread sticks that my companion that night made. So yeah, the whole thing was wiped clean as well! Surprise, surprise, it wasn't that difficult at all! Much easier than having to wage World War III on my cumbersome vacuum cleaner :P

Weight, body size and body shape, are sensitive topics. After reading quite a number of them, I came away with a better understanding of the perspectives from both sides of the fence. And then I came across this new term/concept/which to me is a whole lotta baloney:

People in this part of the world have not heard of thin/slim privilege. In fact, if it does exist, as the Fat Acceptance Movement ('FAM') now tries to drum so darned hard into everyone's brains, they wouldn't even need to brainwash anyone into acknowledging that it does.
'Thin privilege' is a term coined to illustrate the privileges that people who fall within an acceptable weight range enjoy which the overweight do not and, thus, feel entitled to scream they're discriminated against.
An example: Why should they pay the price of 2 seats when the airline seats were too small to fit them in the first place?
Another example: Why must they pay more for their plus-size clothing?
The answer to the above questions are, 1. Because you take up 2 seats when you really shouldn't and yet you're demanding that airlines accommodate you by making their seats bigger; and 2. You use up far more fabric, thread and man-hours.
The insinuation is, people who're of an acceptable weight are given 'privileges' which they did not earn. Hmm. Well, let's see now. In what way did they not earn these so-called 'privileges' when we make an effort to maintain our weight, when we make an effort not to stuff our mouths, when we make an effort to look the best we can?
Besides, the FAM wants everyone to be viewed as equal and body love for all. So why create a 'class difference' by coining the term, 'thin privilege'? Wouldn't they have thought it is counter-productive to their aims? People like to feel good and privileges make one feel good. Heck, even feel better than others.
So what the FAM is really doing is harming its own 'cause'. Instead of paving the path for body equality, they're creating the class differences all by themselves. They're calling people sexist, ageist, sizist, and whatever -ist they can think of, just so they can wallow in self-pity and perceived victimisation.

If the real motive behind the movement is really to achieve body acceptance for all, then it should remain focused on its aim. Aggression, trying to brainwash people and censoring differing/alternative opinions, will only distract them from their cause.
Instead, what we have here is the Animal Farm mentality. 4 legs good, 2 legs bad. 4 legs good, 2 legs bad. 4 legs good, 2 legs bad. Repeat chant 10,000,000,000 times or until you're sufficiently brainwashed. Now let's take a look at the mantra FAM adopts.
Fat is normal, slim is ugly. Fat is normal, slim is ugly. Fat is normal, slim is ugly.
Try their damnedest to make you repeat 10,000,000,000 times and employ manipulative tactics such as trying to shame and bully you, hurling profanities at you and insulting you or accuse you of bullying and shaming instead, when you dare to refuse to repeat it. Hey, it happens a lot!!!
Heck, they even wanted themselves represented in terms of Barbie dolls. Hello, perfect, gorgeous, Barbie?! Now in so-called 'real woman' proportions? Check this out!

Then they started to scream that Big Beautiful Barbie isn't representative of 'real women' today *roll eyes roll eyes roll eyes* Do they resemble a buncha hypersensitive, childish and over-demanding lunatic banshees to you? They certainly do to me! How do you even respect them?
Where do we even start?!
In fact, I would venture to say that they're using reverse psychology to shame and bully everyone, including large corporations, into accommodating them and catering to their whims and desires. Abercrombie & Fitch landed in hot water because the CEO refused to make their clothes in plus sizes. Go Google it!
So let me tell you this. In this part of the world, we don't have thin privilege. We don't have the FAM screaming that fat women are beautiful yadda yadda yadda. At least not yet. Thank goodness for that. I hope it never sets foot on our shores.
Signing Off,
Missy Adorabelle
