Fat People Dancing

I'm not bothering with political correctness.  Fat is fat, not curvy, not voluptuous, not thick, etc.  I will not sugar-coat fat, but I will support women not loathing themselves, not feeling suicidal about their weight and embracing the positive side of life.  Now this group of fat people have decided to do something useful with their lives.

Instead of sitting for hours at their laptops, they're out and about practising dance moves.  This is definitely healthier than lying on the couch and stuffing their faces with cans of potato chips.  This is also definitely more productive than warring with people who have differing views in the cyber-world.

Not crazy about the bra and panties costume, but I'll give it to them, since cabaret dancers are usually skimpily clad.  Also, at this juncture, it may be difficult for them to find acceptable sexy and glamourous costumes.  The most important thing is that they're doing something good for themselves instead of hammering men who prefer slim/healthy-weight women or bashing the slim.

This is what the body/size/fat acceptance movement should be about - to stop the self-loathing and engage in hobbies.  Moving about is also better for fat people.  There are guys out there who like fat women just as there will always be men who favour the slim/healthy-weight ones.  When one accepts oneself, one doesn't seek to change another's view.

As long as people respect this, the cyber-world would be less filled with aggression and hateful vitriol.  I don't endorse obesity and being overweight.  But I do think that less cruelty towards them is never a bad thing.  These fat people who're dancing?  I applaud their acceptance of themselves and their decision to dance and move about.

Signing Off,

Missy Adorabelle
