Close friends will know that I'm hopeless at anything domestic. A part-time maid comes to clean up my place and help with the clothes washing and ironing. When I was single, I preferred to dine out so that the home would be as clean as possible. I hardly cooked ever since returning from Australia after graduation.
So it was quite daunting to try cooking again but, with The Boy's encouragement, I decided to whip up something simple and tasty for our mid-week beer sessions! It's so simple that I'm embarrassed to talk about it, but The Boy was very supportive. He finished it all and was disappointed when he realised there was so little :P
Portion control, dearie, portion control :P
We ate this with plain tortilla chips. Hafta concede that cooking isn't THAT tough and, to a certain extent, can be fun. I don't mind doing it from time to time provided The Boy doesn't expect me to: 1. cook every night; and 2. make anything more than ONE dish :P I'm not the fish, veggies, soup kinda cook, thanks :P
But yeah, I've cooked a little bit more here and there. It's not my favourite thing to do, but once in awhile is good. Besides, The Boy is very sweet. He polishes off everything and proclaims it delicious :P Then he asks me to cook again. I think it's also because he wants to feel pampered from time to time :P
Signing Off,
Missy Adorabelle
