2 days ago, Singapore lost a great leader; perhaps the greatest we've ever had. None of our current crop of politicians in his founding party comes close to his calibre. He set the bar so high.
Mr Lee Kuan Yew died on Monday morning and the nation fell into mourning. Many quite rightly say and believe that Mr Lee was Singapore and vice versa. Indeed, his entire career was about building up our country.
We owe Mr Lee many things; even the land on which we were born. During his reign, we didn't need to cater to the whims of low class PRC foreign workers. Our standards of life weren't compromised.
We will miss you, Mr Lee. We most definitely will.
